The Art of Painting Map, Matthew Cussick Works [PICS]
Matthew Cusick is a gifted collage artist (who created works of art by combining many different materials into a distinguished artistic merit thing) from the Dallas, Texas. He created a stunning work of art from pieces of paper maps. Using the most basic tool, Cusick reorganized the entire network of roads, rivers and urban transportation systems to create intricate works of art that look like paintings and drawings if it is viewed from afar.Cusick was from New York and graduated from Cooper Union in 1993, and did his first exhibition in two years later. Since then, his work has been exhibited throughout the world. Inspired by the topography, Cusick said that he likes ", catalog records, and manage information and then disassemble, manipulate, and reconfigure."
