In fact, bathing isn't just make your body fresh, but there are other benefits behind it. Recently, there is a study about bathing where its benefits other than cleanse the body, also have a role in boosting the immune system, preventing skin diseases and even is able to heal a serious medical problem.
Several studies showed that the effects of bathing was efficacious for:
1. Diabetes
For diabetics, with an half-hour soaking your body in a hot tub can lower blood sugar levels around 13%.
2. Heart
With a 10-minute soaking in hot tub can improve heart's performance of both man and woman.
3. Eczema
Eczema is a chronic inflammation of dry and itchy skin. For patients with skin diseases like eczema, rashes, hives can add baking soda into the tub because based on the research, baking soda can acts as an antiseptic.
The procedure is:
First fill the tub with warm water, then add a tablespoon of baking soda into it and stir until it's blended. It is also advisable to soak your body inside for 10-20 minutes.
4. Infection
For infections such as thrush, it could be cured by pouring three or four tablespoons of cider vinegar and soak the body for 15-20 minutes. It's also good for removing toxins from the body because vinegar could rebalance the acid.
5. Flu and Headache
To cure flu and headache could be done by soaking your leg in the warm water. Fill the warm water in the tub till it covers the ankle, then add a few drops of oils such as lavender, peppermint or lemon. When it is finished rinse the leg with cold water. Do it for 10-20 minutes.
6. Insomnia
For patients who have insomnia or sleeping problems could soak their leg into cold water. Do it continuously until feeling cold. This treatment is also useful for tired legs, nose bleeding, and constipation.
7. Circulation
If you have circulation problem then try to soak your leg for one or two minutes in warm water, then 30 minutes in cold water. Try to do for 15 minutes then settled with cold water.
Benefits and good bathing instructions
Bathing with warm water of 32-35 degrees Celsius may open pores where it can help to remove toxins, lower blood sugar levels, heal sore muscles and maintaining the colon to work properly. The recommended time duration is 10-20 minutes.
While with a cold water, it can relieve stress and tension, and the recommended temperature is around 12-18 degrees centigrade. While the benefit is the opposite of warm water because it will narrow the blood vessel and increase blood sugar levels. Therefore it is not recommended for diabetics to take a cold shower/bathing.
