The main material of this castle is wood which is vulnerable to fire. The castle was built after Japanese's feudal war but was never used during the war, though its main purpose of construction is as a Fort.

The castle is maintained by the Japanese government, ranked second in size and third in height that is around 30m. It is listed in six most ancient castle list and was built without using nails at all

Some parts of the building have been replaced with the new parts while the original parts are collected here.
